Thank you, friends of Eidou

After a whole lot of soul searching I’ve decided to close down the Eidou digital scrap shop at the beginning of September. It’s been a tough year and the economic climate has put the lid on really getting the site off the ground, so I’ve decided that with Lucas only 3 weeks away from being born that the time is right to close.

I want to thank all my designers and creative team for their support, particularly Sondra who took over the forum for me, Michele and Janine for their promotion and challenges, Asa and Carole for their lovely DT work, Sarah for her samples and SENZ help and all the designers who’ve donated to collaborative kits and gone above and beyond to try and help us get it off the ground.

Most of all though thank you to our loyal customer base who were willing to give a new site a shot. If you have any coupons or vouchers to use please do so asap, as the site will be no more as of 1st September.

Again, thank you all again for your unending support.

Do you have an electronic cutter?

Eidou’s digital scrap shop now has cutting files for sale in the store, including a freebie file you can try out on your machine before you buy! The files are all in both AI (adobe illustrator) and SVG (scalable vector graphics) format which are compatible with most electronic cutters that allow you to download from your computer. Give them a go!

SENZ Sneak Peek!

The Big Cheese has been working her heiny off to get ready for the SENZ show in NZ and I wanted to use this opportunity to show you a sneak peek of some of the Stationery Packs I have been designing exclusively for the show.

Stationery for Weddings, Borthday Parties or other special events can become expensive and be a drain on the budget, so I have create some simple, so-ordinating Invitations, RSVP cards and Place Cards to sell. You can create your own invites by simply printing out my designs onto paper or vellum and adding a classic embellishment. Matte onto cardstock and voila! A co-ordinated wedding or other invitation.

Below are two examples of the complete Kits I have designed for Senz as well – the “Fairy Elements Kit” and the “Vintage School” Kit:

Each Kit comes with at least 6 co-ordinating papers, a series of elements and Die Cuts and a complete alpha on an easily printable set of sheets. You don’t need to be a Photoshop whiz in order to buy them and use them – just print them out through your “Word” program at home .

Can’t get to SENZ? Still want these Kits?

Don’t panic These Kits will be released onto Eidou a short time after SENZ is finished so that you can download them for yourself. But please get to SENZ to check them out as there will be show specials and lots of samples to view that you will not get on Eidou!

What do I do with a quickpage?

I thought I’d show you!!

This is the one for my Remembering Alice kit over in the store, download it for free and then add what you like. You’ll find the angel wordart as a freebie over at bellascraps.com and you’ll also get a $2.00 discount off the full kit.

All I did was add the photo, the word art and voila!!

Also, have you seen these?

These are a super cool way to add the date to any layout – the product comes as 5 files that you just copy and paste into layers, then rotate the month, year and date dials until they line up with the date you want under the little indicator. Gorgeous for so many layouts!

Remembering Alice

As a tribute to my friend’s lovely little baby that left them too soon, I created this kit called Remembering Alice. It’s a super-huge mega kit (we’re talking 20 papers, and alphabet and 62 embellishments!!) and is so soft and pretty, I’ve put it in the store too so it’s available for anyone that’s looking for a really pretty but not babyish kit.

There’s also a free quick page available for download that includes a special offer in the terms of use! So easy – just add your photo, title and journalling and you’re done!
